Sonic & Mario at the World Cup?

29 May

Well, i got some information today from an undisclosed source….
Apparently the next game in the Mario and Sonic series is at the world cup!
I never was a big fan of the olympic games series, but a soccer game might be really fun!

It might be like Mario Strikers, but with sonic, and more power ups, better arenas, stuff like that… i might pick this up….. but, sonic colors and sonic 4 both look really good…. and i also wanted battalion wars 2, Sonic and sega all stars racing, Mario galaxy 2, and kirby wii…..

I’m gonna need some money :|

With fans eagerly awaiting the retro Sonic 4, Sega pulls back the curtain on Sonic Colors, a brand new adventure for the Nintendo Wii and DS, heading our way by the end of 2010.

Sonic Colors sees our blue hedgehog hero speeding through theme-park inspired worlds as he attempts to free the colorful alien Wisps from the clutches of the evil Dr. Eggman. Eggman has imprisoned the energy-filled aliens in an amusement park in orbit around the planet, and Sonic has to make use of the aliens’ unique powers to help them escape enslavement.

Using the aliens’ color energy, Sonic will be able to create new paths through the game’s levels. Yellow energy will let Sonic drill through the ground, for instance, while cyan turns Sonic into a laser, shooting through obstacles as if they weren’t even there. And hopefully some kind of path of light…. that would be EPIC!!!!

The Wii version of Sonic Colors will feature a combination of 2D and 3D gameplay, while the DS version “takes full advantage of the console’s dual screen,” whatever that entails.

With Sonic 4 on the way and Sonic Colors due out this holiday season, Sega now has both sorts of Sonic fans covered.

Hopefully we’ll see more of Sonic Colors at E3 2010 next month.

Kirby Wii planed for release

9 May

Video from early beta version, 2 years ago

Kirby is one of a few of Nintendo’s main stars that has yet to appear in his own Wii game. He featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl but the last time he played the lead role on a home console was in 2004 racing game Kirby’s Air Ride. (epic fail)

You have to go back to 2001 for his last appearance in an adventure game – Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. (win)

Little is known about this new game and I don’t know for sure when it will be released. The release date is listed as TBA for Japan while it is missing from the Europe and US sections of the schedule.

Still, it’s good to know that he will star in his own game again. Would you buy it?

Wii Motion Plus™ Now Standard

4 May

Although once optional, Nintendo is now making Motion Plus a manditory purchase. At least for new Wii owners.

In speaking with Infendo today, the company was quick to point out that the newly announced Black Wii bundles are, in fact, “new stock” units. In other words, Motion Plus is now standard with every Wii sold—be it black or white.

“This isn’t technically a bundle,” a representative told me by email. “This is the new ’stock’ Wii. From its launch moving forward, this is how the system will be available, in white or black.”

The move to package better motion controls with Wii is Nintendo’s latest attempt to keep prospective buyers from waiting for competing products by both Sony and Microsoft, arriving later this year.

“To date, this is the only precision [motion] control currently on the market, and with the addition of Wii Sports Resort, you’re getting that next level of Wii Motion Plus all for $199,” the represented added.
